Her work primarily revolves around the subject of gardens, creating designs that celebrate the non-human. Her practice beckons a venture into the outdoors and explores dynamics of binaries, play, and home, through the ways she engages with the world around her. Colour is Tilly’s primary source of exploration, as she reinterprets the places she visits through lively, vivid tones.
Tilly studied Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts and has received an award from International Mobility to study Risography and Design at the Universität der Künste, Berlin. She hopes to take her colourful work throughout the world, deeply inspired by the destinations she gets to see.
Her fieldwork is often translated into her tattoo practice, creating a rich sincerity in her designs.
