Garden Risography
A collection of imagery made up of scans taken on the Risograph, showing a playful approach to understanding how it reads information.
While creating these images, I considered my approaches through prompting questions. Will the scanner understand the detailing of a petal? Does this change if I add darker paper to the back?
The pieces chosen signal the different reactions to detail made by the scanner bed. Here, colour is explored as a standalone subject. It creates silhouettes and shadows of its subjects. It articulates the idea of these garden forms; the subtlety of the space.
