Painting with Machines
Painting with machines is a workshop designed to encourage confidence between a variety of capabilities when it comes to working the Risograph. Using the Garden Series as the foundation towards interacting with colour, participants are walked through the process of creating an artwork to be Riso printed through understanding how an image can be broken down into colour. For more advanced Risograph-users, I encourage an exploration into how grain-touch spot colouring can create unique tones, using a painterly approach to develop imagery with exciting hues.
At the end of this workshop, participants will leave with beautifully finished riso prints developed themselves from analog methods of image-making.
This workshop is available in 2-hour and 5-hour plans. I will be running my next session in June at Camberwell College of Arts.
